There is no question that German composer Nils Frahm belongs between the most talented contemporary artists on field of classical music and its neo-classical subgenre. Whether this humble gentleman plays piano improvisations silently and emotionally or he raves the keyboard with intense moves, he has been always one of the most remarkable artists on field of alternative music. And now comes the good news! After his last year’s highly appreciated gig at Festival Spectaculare he will be back in Prague next month.

Nils studied the piano with Nahum Brodsky, a student of Tchaikovsky. However, this avid student of classical music later addicted to electronic music experiments which basically led to formation of remarkable music pieces and self-contained music genre. Frahm’s work is often characterized as emotional chamber classical music with intimate and yet moody ambient feelings. Truth is, that there are only a few artists who can accede the music with such humility and insight as well as desire for breaking the boundaries across music.

His intense live act has ben ranked between TOP live acts of 2014 according to Resident Advisor. We can only confirm his unique talent from what we have seen last year at Sónar. For 2015 Nils prepares new album and on his ongoing tour he will present already some fresh pieces. There is really no need to think twice. Everyone should see this guy as he can really change yours perspective for contemporary experimental music…
