“My inspiration for this story was based around my makeup artist’s childhood home in Santa Clarita, north of LA, nestled between the heat of the Mojave Desert & the San Fernando Valley. We’d met many years before in Toronto, where she’d lived for awhile before moving home with her husband to her native California. We’d talked about working together for a long time but it never seemed to work out.” tells photographer Jeffrey Chan.
“Her childhood home is bursting with character and several interesting random trinkets & decorations that her late grandfather collected, which made it too cool & fun to not shoot at. The ranch & desert vibe inspired us to put together a southwestern themed story. I’ve begun styling my own fashion shoots and was able to pull together a great ensemble of outfits that really fit our vision.” he continues talking on the wonderful location.
“The last piece of the puzzle was to find an amazing model who could really make everything work together. Enter Jess Gold of Photogenics LA, – her confidence, energy & personality were perfect.” Makeup & Hair done by Bree Collins.
