L.A. based photographer and artist Edward Cushenberry met Yuri Ogita four years ago through their teacher and mutual friend. “Through my friendship with Yuri, I met her sister Hana Ogita. I instantly became interested in their bond and wanted to document their lives together.The outcome is “The Ogita Sisters” which is a short documentary on my friends Yuri and Hana who are sisters and designers working and living in Los Angeles.” You can feel the sense of closeness between the two of them, yet both of them with their own personality coming through the sublime footage.
