“The deeper your conscious mind swims into your subconscious mind, the bigger the fish are going to be. If you’re trying to fish in a shallow pond, you’re not going to have a ton of options. So if you open up the space of your closed-off memories, you can access that.” tells Los Angeles based photographer, fine artist and sculpturist Amanda Charchian, who gets inspired by the subconcious and things she doesn´t understand, all types of mysticism that teach her to “let go” and the poetic language of her Iranian heritage. Her images are incredibly strong and intriguing and her Swarovsky crystal sculptures, that sparkle like thousand stars in the sunlight have more to say than just being visually appealing.
