“Shoot location was across the street from the church in the movie Kill Bill, out in the desert, north of LA.  I’d been a big fan of the movie Kill Bill and thought it’d be an amazing backdrop for a photo shoot.  I’d known of the location for awhile and finally ventured out there during some location scouting, on my last trip to LA.  Once there I discovered numerous security cameras, mounted all around the church and a big no trespassing sign.  Fortunately, there were super cool abandoned structures across the way.  I’m a huge fan of ghost towns, so I decided to use that as my shoot location instead.  It truly inspired me, and I’m always inspired by locations.  But as a consolation, at the end of the shoot, Jessica & I did a candid shoot on film with the church as a backdrop, ensuring we weren’t trespassing.  It just happened to be in the background!  She continued being a riot! ”

At Australian label Spell Designs it´s all about hand-crafted jewellery and adornments of leather, turquoise, sterling silver, hand-carved bone & wood, antique chain & gypsy treasures. Their newest lookbook features bombshell Ashley Smith at Society Management shot by Ali Mitton in the Californian desert (and you are right when this series reminds you on the amazing shooting with Jason Lee Parry some time ago) showcasing their newest pieces which are perfect for holiday, full of colour, bold florals and bright gypsy prints, paired back with some lovely broderie anglaise in whites, blacks and dusty blues. “We have an old and slightly tattered piece of paper taped to our wall, on it is scrawled our model ‘wish list’ – muses we’re dying to work with. Ash Smith has been on it ever since we saw her in Russh Magazine in 2010. So there we were, in the sweltering heat of the Californian desert, watching our muse Ashley Smith fly on down the highway on the back of a vintage Harley Chopper. Eyes stinging in the heat and dust. Pinching ourselves. Loving every moment.”

Oh yes… We are in a generous mood and have another great Xmas Giveaway for you today. The youthful UK brand Olive and Frank takes inspiration from 90s grunge, street style, travel and music. With roots trading at local markets the brand launched their first in house designed collection this year, creating seasonless collections of understatedly cool clothing with fun at it’s heart. For their A/W lookbook they teamed up with photographer Amy Lidgett and shot on location in Manchester. “We switched locations between the local skate park, the transport museum and an industrial estate on the edge of the city. We wanted to capture a gritty, realness in the images while models Chelsea and Amelia reflect the badass attitude that inspired our collection.”

“The idea behind this series comes from showing a normal day of a sexy girl within a natural habitat. We wanted to portray that day by day casual magic in daily attitudes when nobody is watching; only that silent, brooding animal who daydreams and slowly walks on soft paws.” Photographer Felipe Hoyos and Model Veronica Franco made our day with this picturesque story exclusive for C-Heads. Christmas is approaching rapidly – of course you know – and we step into one of our last Give Aways. For their latest AW capsule collection, THFKDLF have gone back to a style of print that helped to establish the brand in 2013.

Taking a floral print and using it across 8 different pieces, the collection consists of regular tees, custom cut long line tees and sweats as well as a pullover hoodie, leggings, beanie and socks.  Having shot previous look books in LA, New York and Spain, the brand decided to stay close to home this time round and shoot in a derelict mansion in the Shropshire countryside. A supercute natural face paired with this strong, sulky attitude - model Margo Frances at Kismet modeling agency monopolizes us and photographer Nicole Anne Robbins wholeheartedly.

This mesmerizing exclusive for C-Heads story and short clip took place in the photographer´s appartment in Los Angeles, with hair stylist Jojo caring for the cool, wild looks. The music is a snippet of music from Robot Koch, a musician that Nicole adores and gets inspired by.

“Margo came over for a quick shoot and we hugged when we said hello even though it was our first meeting. She had a trunk full of leather punk jackets and brought them into my place with lots of great opinions on what to wear. We worked with super talented hair stylist, Jojo, who changed it throughout in a way I thought was natural and playful. Margo is cool and mysterious but full of warmth. Her eyes are ice blue and she stares at you with them like she is full if toughness but you can’t help but feel drawn to her in a way that makes you fall in love, like a long lost sister or a soul cousin. We talk to each other like we have known each other but have a thousand things to discover. Its easy but not easy because when you are with people who are deep like you and creative like you it sort of pushes you in a way that isn’t always expected. Its a great thing. She danced in my apartment in Los Angeles and was so sexy and dark, so committed to every move, and it’s obvious we will only keep going further the longer we shoot. She is a muse. I heart Margo.”

Schlaf war Mangelware, Es wurde gelacht, Tränen sind geflossen und die Baustelle schien ewig zu gehen aber pünktlich zum Saisonauftakt haben wir die Auslage verdoppelt.” Somit steht einer unvergesslichen Silvesternacht nichts mehr im Wege. Gemeinsam mit der Sunday Morning´s Crew geht es auf einen heißen 12 Stunden Ritt durch die Zeit. Denn einmal im Jahr gibt es keine Grenzen – Champagne let it rain!

Year after year we are put through the same process. As soon as summer is gone our minds are pushed into the direction of the next Xmas round.

And even though we like the cookie and candle smelling thoughtful moments, we are in general not so fond on traditional repetitions, that sometimes even feel more like a duty than joy. So the catchphrase is joy. And there is more than enough of that to be found in this jolly Happy Akward Christmas shooting done by Ainsley Hutchence at Sticks & Stones Agency for C-Heads starring models Jessie Haggie at Asher Model Management and Jon Harris at London Management. “I met Lauren in the busiest part of Hollywood. We shot in a bungalow just off of Sunset blvd constructed in a reminiscent fashion to a Greek villa. It gets perfect light year round. Lauren is a beautiful woman with dark features which contrast perfectly to the white stucco facade of the place. Everything was perfect that day.”
